In consultation, many people come looking for therapy in Jerez de la Fron, because they feel an emotional burden difficult to manage: guilt. That emotion appears when we judge ourselves by our actions - or by their lack - questioning whether we acted as "we should." These inner demands are deeply linked to our values, beliefs and moral sense.
How specialist psychologist in emotional management in Jerez de la FronteraI accompany processes where guilt has a leading role to play. Learning to accept our imperfection as human beings is essential. To realize what led us to act in a certain way, from understanding and not from judgment, opens the door to an attitude of compassion to ourselves. That compassionate inner look is the first step to heal, forgive and find inner peace.
Also, often guilt arises from an imbalance felt between what we give and what we get, especially within the family system. If we feel that we have been given more than we have been contributing, an emotional debt sensation can appear that manifests itself as guilt.
When we have a relationship with ourselves from compassion, our decisions are better aligned with our values, more stable and genuine than when we act moved by guilt, perfectionism or fear. This transformation allows us to advance from guilt towards the emotional responsibilityA vital tool for personal growth.
It's important to note that guilt, while painful, has an adaptive function: it invites us to reflect, to review our actions and to improve our relationships. Hence, receiving Professional psychological care can be key to understanding its origin, reframe it and advance towards a more complete and conscious life.
